Clean using citric acid
A citric acid is a good option because it is effective against grime, mold, bacteria, and mildew. Mix 1:1 parts of lemon juice and water and pour it inside the kettle. Alternatively, you can fill the kettle to half its capacity with water and add two tablespoons of citric acid powder to it. Now bring the solution to a boil. Switch off the kettle after the boiling point is reached and allow the solution to cool for 20 minutes. Discard the solution and scrub using a sponge. Rinse the kettle to complete the process.
Removing mineral deposits
The mineral deposits inside the electric kettle should be removed using a soft-bristled bottle brush or a non-abrasive sponge. These tools loosen the deposits without causing damage to the inner surface of the kettle. The sponge or brush can be soaked in vinegar for removing heavy deposits.
Cleaning water filter
